Meet Mayor Dennis Waldron

From Citizen to Alderman to Mayor of La Vergne, TN

The Waldron family has called La Vergne, Tennessee, home for 200 years. A long-time resident himself, Dennis is a graduate of McGavock High School and a former business owner. Dennis has seen La Vergne grow from a small town to an economically booming city.

Dennis was elected Mayor in 2014, following his service as city Alderman. Dennis ran for office because he had been active in La Vergne his entire life. During his time in office, La Vergne has seen lower taxes and less crime. He is running for re-election in 2018 to continue leading La Vergne in economic growth and keeping it a safe, family-oriented community.

Dennis is chairman of the La Vergne Historical Preservation Advisory Committee and a member of the Planning Commission. He is a previous member of the Board of Zoning Appeals. He has two children.
