To the Citizens of La Vergne:
I would like to take this time to personally thank you for allowing me to serve you as Alderman for the past 8 years. As a long time resident of La Vergne, I’ve seen our city grow from a small community to a young city with high potential for economic and retail growth.
As your Alderman, I have worked hard to serve you. Here are a few changes that our great city has seen in the past 8 years:
•Parthenon Extension Phase III (New road to connect Murfreesboro Road to Stones River Road)
•New Fire Station III on Bill Stewart Blvd.
•Holland Ridge to David’s Way connection
•Improved intersections at Murfreesboro Road and Dick Buchanan, Murfreesboro Road and Floyd Mayfield, and Murfreesboro Road and Fergus Road
•Improvements in our Police, Fire and Emergency Response Departments
•New Senior Citizen’s Bus
•Secured several grants for State and Federal Funding for the City
•Retail Growth: New Kroger and various other retail centers and restaurants
To better serve the City of La Vergne, since 2004, I have completed courses in Planning and Zoning and received certifications from the State of Tennessee. I have successfully completed all three levels of the Local Government Leadership Program and have received certification from the University of Tennessee. I have also completed numerous classes and seminars with the National League of Cities and the Tennessee Municipal League.
Once again, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve you over the past 8 years and with your vote on Election Day, November 6, 2012, we can continue keeping La Vergne strong and moving forward.
